Beyond Time’s Arrow Am I going or coming? At this point on the edge of time I’m not able to know. Are those people I loved long ago holding hands out towards me to welcome me into my past – which has become my future? Will I recognise even myself when I become young again? But first, there’s the loss of that now. with its fun and kind faces. Grandchildren and old friends, whom I must soon leave behind. Yet perhaps, in another world, points in time can be chosen at will. And I’ll see there the view far ahead, where those loved ones are coming to join me. When the future and past become one, and my life will be healed and whole.
COLLECTIONS PRINTED Before going to print please consider the following points: If possible please send poems by computer disc or e-mail attachment, using word format, rtf (rich text format), wordperfect or works. Poems are acceptable as typed sheets but please ensure that a plain font is used and that the print is fairly black. Please answer the following questions when you send in your collection: Do you want the order of your poems to be left in the order submitted or is the order unimportant? What title do you want for your booklet? Do you want a price on the back? Do you want a profile or introduction? Some authors refer to their life and past works or give a foreword detailing the reason for writing the poems. The font size. We find 12 point easily readable. Do you want each poem on a separate page, two or three small poems on the same page or part of a poem running on to the next page? You can leave it the editor, who can space the poems in the most suitable way, if you wish. Booklets normally consist of: a cover showing the title and price page 1 showing book title by (name) and the publisher page 2 showing ISBN number (compulsory) page 3 Profile of author or introduction page 4 Table of contents page 5 to the end, the collection of poems. Do you have any special requests? e.g. Design of cover (we can produce a cover with a simple design. For anything more complicated please provide the art work or photograph) or any other requirements. It is more expensive to have a coloured jacket or coloured illustrations (about 30p per booklet for each A5 coloured page). We can provide a coloured picture for the front cover for £5. Please suggest a subject. After your booklet is made up a proof copy will be sent to you for checking, at which time you will be asked to pay for your order. Your corrections will be the final check before we go to print, so please make sure that any mistakes/alterations are clearly marked in red on the proof. Return to top of this page
