Feather Books was established in 1984 to publish the Quill Hedgehog novels of John Waddington-Feather, one of which was nominated for the Carnegie Medal in 1989. Since then, the imprint has published collections of verse by other poets and in 1996 launched the Christian poetry quarterly The Poetry Church. The same year it also began publishing the Grundy and Feather music series.  The Feather Books Team
